My Thank You Box

A few years back, I had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom. I was a part-time student  and a full time volunteer at my daughters school (lol). We were on a tight budget.

Because we had a lot of friends, we were constantly getting invited to events, parties,etc. Our budget determined which parties we would attend and what gifts we could purchase. The one thing people could expect to receive from me was a birthday card. I was diligent about sending out birthday cards and thank you notes. I kept a list and set up reminders on my computer. I also sent lots of e-cards.

Lately, my life has been on a constant world wind since the beginning of this year. I’m still adjusting to my new schedules and commitments. This year, I have received a lot of  nice gifts, but I have sent very few thank you notes. I’ve noticed that some people don’t care to receive a  thank you note or they decided to give me a (thank you note) pass because I’m so busy.

This year, especially now that we are in a face book, twitter, email, text message kinda world, I have to make sure I acknowledge acts of kindness towards me and my family with a “Thank You Note”. Today at church I walked around with my newly made “Thank You Box”. I felt like the smiling postman.

• Run/Walk at least 1 mile everyday
• Take vitamins daily
• Reboot at least 3 times per year (January, June & September)
• Pack healthy snacks in the car to avoid last-minute un-healthy choices
• Drink more water
• Eat more fruits & veggies
• Have a “Glowing Green Smoothie” at least three times a week
• Schedule doctor appointments regularly

My Relationship Goals

• Update address book
